One of the Paragliding World Cup events was held in Drama in Greece from 19.06. to 26.06.2010. Drama is located in northern Greece at the foot of the mountain Falakro, which is a well-known ski centre in the winter.

Drama is the most famous of the flying sites included in the Flying Safari Northern Greece, which Olympic Wings organizes for groups of pilots, flying clubs and schools. During this safari the pilots fly in different interesting areas of Northern Greece: Edessa, Mount Olympus, Nymphaion are on the schedule of the two weeks program.

Dann ging es am 15. Mai zum Olymp, adiposity die Gruppe flog in bereits bekannten und auch neuen Fluggebieten am Olymp. Thermikflüge in Kalivia und Strandlandungen direkt vor dem Hotel standen genauso auf dem Programm der nächsten Woche wie auch Erholungs- und Strandurlaub mit gutem griechischen Essen.

End of February we visited our friends in Drama, a lively city in northern Greece. The local airclub invited its pilots and friends to the traditional party for a good start into the New Year. This of course is the opportunity for a superb flying day directly on top of the city of Drama.

Almost 30 pilots from Drama, Thessaloniki, Mount Olympus and even Bulgaria enjoyed the smooth thermic conditions, allowing top-landings, long flights with good hights over the take-off and safe landings next to the grill.?
