The entry level course is run for total beginners and also new pilots<\/strong> who want to fly and build a solid skills base in paragliding.<\/p>\n

Paragliding is a fast-evolving exciting air sport<\/strong> that gives people around the world the pleasure of free flight<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Taking place outdoors in nature<\/strong>, visiting the mountains and open sky<\/strong> becomes a favorable activity.<\/p>\n

During this course we will cover the fundamental knowledge in paragliding<\/strong> with focus on the features & techniques attributed to Single Skin paragliders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Single Skin” <\/strong>paragliders are one-panel canopy gliders with a highly developed technical design certified by EN standards.<\/p>\n

Effect of this original construction and choice of high end materials, is the low weight<\/strong> and compact<\/strong> abilities giving pilots the advantage to travel<\/strong> and combine alpine activities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Best way to find your way back down the mountain after trail running, trekking, hiking, climbing, mountain biking, free skiing – cover more ground and explore far by air<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hike & fly<\/strong> is short for planning mountain hiking routes based on the weather and topography, finally paragliding<\/strong>. Pilots sometimes land on a high plateau and continue walking to the next mountain slope. <\/p>\n

Bivouac flying<\/strong> is the principal of hike & fly expanded over more days. Pilots carry equipment for overnight camp<\/strong> along with their light paragliding equipment as they fulfill their expedition. <\/p>\n

Single Skin paragliders are super light and playful. <\/strong>They are perfect for a smooth entry into paragliding with responsive handling further for nature enthusiasts, active travelers, mountaineers and adventurers.<\/p>\n

Olympic Wings is affiliated to APPI and offers paragliding courses which follow the APPI education system<\/a>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A minimum 5-day duration course allows to qualify for the first level APPI 1 \/ FAI Para Pro 1.<\/p>\n

A minimum 10-day duration course allows to qualify for the level APPI 2 \/ FAI Para Pro 2.<\/p>\n

      Olympus <\/strong>with its highest peak Mytikas \u2013 2.918 m \u2013 is the highest mountain in Greece <\/strong>and the famous home of the Greek Gods. It is located directly next to the Aegean Sea<\/strong> with its long coast lines and sandy beaches.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      Our flying area<\/strong> \u2013 with more than 15 take off’s \u2013 covers the main mountains of Olympus and Kissavos part of a longer range parallel to the sea separated by impressive valleys.
      \nThese mountains protect our area throughout the year <\/strong>from strong meteorological winds so developing their own local wind systems which we use for flying.<\/p>\n

      The many different flying sites offer particularly great training experience as they present for pilots each their own diverse flying conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n
